The French embassy welcomed some 5,500 visitors to its annual Fête de la Musique (Festival of Music) on Saturday, June 23, in a celebration of music and warm-weather fun.
Reflecting France’s tradition of a musical celebration of the summer solstice, the event brought together professional and amateur music groups to perform in a day-long program of activities and street acts. Participants enjoyed a full program of 50 groups performing music as well as theater and fire juggling.
