Youssou N'Dour performs live in Paris

One of my favorites singers, Youssou N'Dour
appearing  in the musical event of the season
at Musee Du Louvre in Paris on 29 September 2012

Youssou N'Dour will perform in the heart of the museum facing the pyramid. Youssou N'Dour sponsors a better understanding of Islam, his music is rich in multiple exchanges between Western, Arab and Black Africa
Youssou N'Dour is from Senegal and considered one of the finest African singers. He has been active on the African music scene since the late seventies and made a name for himself in France in the mid-eighties with a series of concerts organized by Amnesty International. At the same time, he met Peter Gabriel and genuine friendship developed between the two men leading to musical collaborations.
Youssou'n'Dour has preserved the warm rhythmic tones of his native Senegal to which he adds subtle touches of electronic music, thus elaborating a new musical trend called mbalax.
